Summer Fun

I am having a lot of fun this summer
creating and decorating new pillows, tea towels, bread basket liners and tote bags

I purchased these tote bags at a craft store and I embroider an Eiffel Tower design on them.
One was made in red and one in pink to match the fabric I used for the ruffles.
Both print fabrics have a Paris design.
I learned how to make the flowers by watching a demonstration on Youtube.

My nephew had a baby in the spring. I wanted to make something special for them and I designed
this soft blanket in brown and blue tones.

Father's Day is June 16th

These are some of my creations I have worked on for the past two weeks.
I did make a couple of special orders but I don't want to post them because they are gifts and I don't want to spoil the surprise for somebody.
Maybe in the future.

Father's Day is in 10 days.
If you don't have a gift ready yet, how about a cool apron with a retro embroidery.
I can even put his name on it to make it extra special.
Sorry about the picture on the left. I wanted to show that I made one in black and one in white, but the black one would not turn out right.  I decided to post this one any way. They look better in real life.

Summery Kitchen Towels with a watermelon and  flowers appliques.
Fun, Fun to make.

Primitive Style Kitchen Towels.
The house and the stars are also appliques.

And of course more aprons.

THANKS FOR LOOKING AT MY BLOG AND HAVE A GREAT WEEK.

SPRING APRONS

I have not made aprons for quite some time and I decided that I wanted to try a different pattern.  I also decided that I did not want to make them reversible like the ones I have made for the last 2 years.
This is what I came up with.
I like the rick-rack details on the pockets and on the top of the apron.  All of them are made with 2 contrasting fabrics that I ordered on line at fabric.com.
 I love this company.
It  offers high quality fabrics for great prices. I have ordered several times and I have never been disappointed.  They ship within 2 or 3 days and they always arrive on time.
I hope you like them too.

This is a gift for a bride to be.
I embroidered her name on a solid piece of fabric to make it stand out more.

WE ARE READY FOR SPRING

We have had a hard winter.
Weeks and days without end of freezing temperatures and snow.
Today, the sun  is shining and you can feel its warmth on your face. What a pleasure!
We are ready for spring. We really are.
My husband came home after work and went straight outside to work on the yard.
Spring cannot come soon enough.

I am getting ready for this year's new shows and markets.
I will be participating in one in a couple of weeks.
This is their FB address

I created these kitchen towels thinking of all the  Moms and Grandmas out there on their
Special Day.
They deserve an unique gift made specially for them; a gift that you will not be able to find anywhere else, only at AE Designs
Made with a lot of care thinking of all those wonderful women who do so much for us.

CHRISTMAS ORDERS

Christmas is over.
I had a few pictures of Christmas gifts that my costumers had ordered over the last few months and I could not post them yet. I did not want to ruin the surprise for anyone. But now I can. The gifts have been giving and I do hope the receivers have liked them. All of them are unique and made to the specifications of my clients. So here they are.

A set of 8, 100% white linen napkins embroidered with the family initial.

Kitchen towels and pot holder to match for a grandmother who loves roosters

Two Bread Basket Liners made out of 100% cotton fabric with the  family initials.

My client did not like the "J" on the first liner so I made another one for her with a different font and this time she did like it.

A set of 8 numbered napkins in 100% white cotton.  And a bread basket liner with the family initial.             A modern look for a lucky daughter-in-law.

No explanations, the apron says it all.

A personalized towel for a girl with sensitive skin.

A gift for a friend who loves herbs.

A gift for a husband on their wedding anniversary.

The next two pictures are gifts I made...

...for friends...

...and for a wedding. Two monogrammed pillowcases.

I want to wish all of you a happy and successful 2013.
