KITCHEN TOWELS...

I love embroidering on kitchen towels. It is easy and fun to do. These ones were made as part of a wedding gift for a friend's son. I hope they like them.

When I saw these designs I immediately thought of the old flour sack grandmas used to embroider by hand. These were a lot easier and faster.

These 3 kitchen towels have a farm theme. The house, the milk bucket and the silo. Perfect for any country kitchen. And they are 100% cotton.

... and an apron. I have made aprons with this same embroidery, but this time I used a cherry fabric for the pockets.  It looks so cute.

FAMILY

I just spent 3 weeks visiting my family in Spain. This time I decided I was going to make some gifts for them.

This towel set was for my 15 year old niece.  It is hard to figure out what a teenager would like. I think she did.

My 8 year old niece wanted something for her baby, so I made this doll size quilt with her favorite colors. In the center block I embroidered " Laura's baby".

My older brother got a chef's apron. He does not cook that much but he said he will wear it even if it is to fry an egg.

My younger brother and his wife also got a chef apron. He is the chef in the family. She usually does the dishes.

For my father I embroidered his initials on some handkerchiefs.

And for my mother a bag to store plastic bags with the word "bolsas" (bags) embroidered on it.                                     I liked it so much I made one for me too.

Now that I am back I am ready to start some new projects. I have missed my sewing machine.
