AND NOW UNTO OTHER THINGS

Fun "Mr and Mrs" towels.  Great wedding and shower gift.

This apron was a special order from a friend.  She absolutely loved the colors and how well the thread I used for the cupcakes matched the fabric.

This was also a special order from my hairdresser.

Very Special

These gift bags are made of soft linen fabric in a light cream color. I made them for some friends who, like me, have their birthdays in May. I embroidered their initials in a color thread similar to the fabric which gives them an unique elegance.
Great way to give a special gift to that special person.

The Promised Pillows

At times I wake up in the middle of the night and I can't go back to sleep. My mind can't stop thinking about new designs and what I am going to work on once the new day arrives. I love to see my ideas become realities.
Today I spent a lot of time finishing these pillows. I am very pleased with the results. I have also added the pillow I made yesterday to this group because the picture I took last night was too dark. You can see it better here. The small pillows measure 12x8 inches.
Mother's Day is around the corner and I take special orders. You can find my contact information on this blog.

HAVING FUN

Today I have been working on some new pillows.  I have had a lot of fun designing and creating them. This one is the first one, but there are more to come. The size is 16x12 inches. It is made out of Osnaburg fabric and the words are embroidered in dark brown 100% cotton thread.
Stay tune for more.

KITCHEN TOWELS...

I love embroidering on kitchen towels. It is easy and fun to do. These ones were made as part of a wedding gift for a friend's son. I hope they like them.

When I saw these designs I immediately thought of the old flour sack grandmas used to embroider by hand. These were a lot easier and faster.

These 3 kitchen towels have a farm theme. The house, the milk bucket and the silo. Perfect for any country kitchen. And they are 100% cotton.

... and an apron. I have made aprons with this same embroidery, but this time I used a cherry fabric for the pockets.  It looks so cute.

FAMILY

I just spent 3 weeks visiting my family in Spain. This time I decided I was going to make some gifts for them.

This towel set was for my 15 year old niece.  It is hard to figure out what a teenager would like. I think she did.

My 8 year old niece wanted something for her baby, so I made this doll size quilt with her favorite colors. In the center block I embroidered " Laura's baby".

My older brother got a chef's apron. He does not cook that much but he said he will wear it even if it is to fry an egg.

My younger brother and his wife also got a chef apron. He is the chef in the family. She usually does the dishes.

For my father I embroidered his initials on some handkerchiefs.

And for my mother a bag to store plastic bags with the word "bolsas" (bags) embroidered on it.                                     I liked it so much I made one for me too.

Now that I am back I am ready to start some new projects. I have missed my sewing machine.
